Third Man Charged in the Dearborn Homicide of Hassan Salami
Today, Prosecutor Kym Worthy charged Devon Travon Green, 24, of Detroit, in connection with the homicide of Hassan Salami, 29, of Dearborn Heights. On September 22, 2023, Lindsay Thurmond, 27, of Detroit, and Quenton Goston, 29, of Melvindale, were also charged in connection with Mr. Salami's homicide.
On September 19, 2023, at 9:27 p.m., Dearborn Police were dispatched to a location in the 16350 block of Ford Road in Dearborn where they observed Mr. Salami lying on the ground suffering from a gunshot wound. Lifesaving measures were taken at the scene by medics. He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased. Investigation by the Dearborn Police Department resulted in the arrest of the defendant.
It is alleged that Defendant Green robbed and killed Mr. Salami. Davon Travon Green has been charged with Felony Murder, First-Degree Murder, and two counts of Felony Firearm. * He was arraigned and remanded to jail this afternoon in 19th District Court before Judge Mark Somers. The Probable Cause Conference is scheduled for September 29, 2023.
Defendants Lindsay Thurmond and Quenton Goston were charged with Felony Murder and First-Degree Murder on September 22, 2023. * It is alleged that Defendants Thurmond and Goston took part in the robbery and homicide of Mr. Salami. They were arraigned and remanded to jail on September 22, 2023, before Judge Mark Somers in 19th District Court. The Probable Cause Conference is scheduled for September 29, 2023.
