Two Men Charged in the Dearborn Homicide of Hassan Salami
Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged Lindsay Thurmond, 27, of Detroit, and Quenton Goston, 29, of Melvindale, in connection with the homicide of Hassan Salami, 29, of Dearborn Heights.
On September 19, 2023, at 9:27 p.m., Dearborn Police were dispatched to a location in the 1635o block of Ford Road in Dearborn where they observed Mr. Salami lying on the ground suffering from a gunshot wound. Lifesaving measures were taken at the scene by medics. He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased. Investigation by the Dearborn Police Department resulted in the arrest of the defendants.
It is alleged that Defendants Thurmond and Goston took part in the robbery and homicide of Mr. Salami. They have been charged with Felony Murder and First-Degree Murder. They were arraigned and remanded to jail this afternoon before Judge Mark Somers in 19th District Court in Dearborn. The Probable Cause Conference is on September 29, 2023.
