UPDATE: Detroit Woman Charged in Carjacking of Postal Service Worker
On April 14, 2021, at approximately 6:30 p.m., Detroit police were dispatched to a residence in the 12600 block of Monte Vista in Detroit for a reported robbery. Upon arrival, officers discovered the defendant had fled the scene. It is alleged that Defendant Hawkins forcefully pulled the victim from the van before entering the vehicle and fleeing the scene. Investigation by the Detroit Police Department led to the arrest of the defendant on April 15, 2021.
Sadie Lakisha Hawkins has been charged with One Count of Carjacking, One Count of Unarmed Robbery, One Count of Receiving and Concealing Stolen Property Over $20,000, and One Count of Unlawful Driving Away of an Automobile. * She was arraigned on April 16, 2021 in 36th District Court and given a $25,000 bond. Her Probable Cause Conference is on May 7, 2021 in 36th District Court before Judge Ronald Giles. Please request a photo of the defendant from the Detroit Police Department.
