Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged Dearborn Divine Child wrestling coach, Brandon Phillip Fenzel, 24, (DOB: 03/24/1998), of White Lake, in connection with soliciting photographs of a sexually explicit nature from his 15-year-old male student.

The student was a member of wrestling team when it is alleged that Fenzel asked him to send sexually abusive material in exchange for marijuana. Investigation by the Dearborn Police Department led to the arrest of the defendant on June 15, 2022.

"It is always extremely disturbing when alleged behavior like this is committed - especially when committed by a person in a position of the trust of our children. We need to ensure that our children are safe at school in every way," said Prosecutor Kym Worthy.

He was arraigned on June 18, 2022, in 19th District Court and given a $500,000 cash/surety bond with a GPS tether, no contact with the victim, and no internet. The Probable Cause Conference is scheduled for July 1, 2022, and the Preliminary Examination is scheduled for July 8, 2022, before Judge Sam Salamey.
