Licensed Health Professional Volunteers Needed to Administer COVID-19 Vaccines

Effective immediately, Wayne County Public Health is seeking medical professional volunteers to administer COVID-19 vaccines. With over 280,000 residents vaccinated, we are making progress but still have a ways to go. Your service can help up keep Wayne County safe and more quickly end this pandemic.
Volunteers must: · Have a valid Michigan medical license in one of the listed professions above or if retired, be within five years of the last valid date of that license. You will be asked to enter information about your Michigan medical license. · Volunteer for a full day shift at Wayne County Community College District - Downriver Campus (21000 Northline Rd, Taylor, MI 48180) or Schoolcraft College - VisTaTech Center (18600 Haggerty Rd, Livonia, MI 48152) from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm with breaks during the day and a lunch break. Please bring you own lunch. · Consent to a background check. Volunteers are encouraged to volunteer for multiple dates. Volunteer for one day or as many days as your schedule will permit. Once you are registered, your credentials will be validated so that you can be confirmed to participate as a medical volunteer. Your information will only be viewed by authorized system managers and not distributed or released.Ready to sign up? · Volunteers can receive a COVID-19 vaccine if they wish to obtain one when they volunteer. · Volunteers will be given onsite training prior to vaccine distribution. · There is supervisory staff at all locations for volunteer questions and guidance. · No record keeping is required of the volunteers. · Many health care organizations are working together to promote this volunteer activity. · As qualified persons, healthcare professionals will be afforded liability protections in accordance with the PREP Act and the terms of the federal amended Declaration.
