Benefits & Disability

The Benefits Unit manages all functions related to the administration of employee and retiree health plans (including COBRA administration), life insurance, wellness programs, employee assistance programs (EAP) and tuition reimbursement.

The Disability and Leave Management Unit manages leaves of absence (including those under the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA); workers compensation and non-work related disability claims under the County's Long Term Disability (LTD) plan; return to work programs; and job accomodation request evaluations under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
