Melvindale Senior Center celebrates renovations with ribbon cutting ceremony

I was pleased to visit the Melvindale Senior Center for a ribbon-cutting ceremony this morning to help celebrate the wonderful building renovations that have been done, thanks to the $15,000 grant that Wayne County was able to provide. The renovations were completed in February of this year, and were the first upgrades performed since the Senior Center opened 18 years ago. Many thanks to Senior Coordinator Sandy Law who worked so hard to put this event together, and to Wayne County Commissioner Ilona Varga who also worked to make these much-needed renovations become a reality.
