Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged Andre Stephon-Curtis Broadenax, 29, of Detroit, in connection with breaking into a 75-year-old Detroit man's home, and the theft of a 52-year-old Dearborn Heights man's vehicle.

On April 29, 2025, at approximately 8:43 p.m., it is alleged that Defendant Broadnex was in possession of the 52-year-old victim's vehicle when he forced entry into the 75-year-old victim's home in the 600 block of Marquette Drive in Detroit, before fleeing the scene on foot. It is also alleged that the defendant forced his 11-year-old daughter to assist him with the home invasion. Investigation by the Detroit Police Department led to the arrest of the defendant a short time later.

Andre Stephon-Curtis Broadenax has been charged with First-Degree Home Invasion, Second-Degree Home Invasion, Larceny in a Building, Receiving and Concealing a Motor Vehicle, Inducing a Minor to Commit a Felony, and Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor.*

He was arraigned on May 2, 2025, in 36th District Court before Magistrate Delphia Burton, and given a $75,000 cash/surety bond with a GPS tether and house arrest. At the bond re-determination hearing today, Judge William McConico increased the defendant's bond to $150,000 cash/surety with a GPS tether and house arrest. The Probable Cause Conference is scheduled for May 14, 2025, at 8:30 a.m., and the Preliminary Examination is scheduled for May 21, 2025, at 8:45 a.m., before Judge Shawn Jacque.
