Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged Delron Devall Black Jr., 28, (DOB: 10/25/1993), and Kenneth Cecil Daniel, 30, (DOB: 10/22/1991), both of Detroit, in connection with the fatal shooting of Albert Williams, 52, also of Detroit.

On February 24, 2022, at approximately 11:34 p.m., Detroit police officers were dispatched to a building in the 12040 block of Greenfield Road in Detroit for a reported shooting. Upon their arrival, officers discovered the victim in the doorway of the residence suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Medics arrived on scene and pronounced the victim deceased.

It is alleged that a verbal argument between the victim and the defendants escalated, and defendant Black fired a handgun, fatally wounding the victim. It is further alleged that Defendant Black and Defendant Daniel robbed the victim before fleeing the scene.

Delron Devall Black Jr. has been charged with one count of Felony Murder, one count of Armed Robbery, one count of Felon in Possession of a Firearm, and three counts of Felony Firearm. *

Kenneth Cecil Daniel has been charged with one count of Felony Murder and one count of Armed Robbery. *

The defendants were arraigned this afternoon and given a $1 million cash/surety bond with a GPS tether. The Probable Cause Conference is scheduled for March 10, 2022 and the Preliminary Examination is scheduled March 17, 2022 in 36th District Court before Judge Kenneth King.
