On July 27, 2023, Prosecutor Kym Worthy charged Darla Spinner, 48, of Detroit, in connection with the possession of marijuana on school property. Ms. Spinner was then serving as a teacher at the Wayne County Juvenile Detention Facility located in the 3500 block of Hamtramck Drive in Hamtramck.

On July 12, 2023, at approximately 8:00 a.m., it is alleged that Defendant Spinner brought marijuana gummy bears into the Juvenile Detention Facility.

Darla Spinner has been charged with Possession of Marijuana on School Property. *

She was taken into custody on October 20, 2023, and given an interim bond of $2,000 cash.

Defendant Spinner was arraigned this morning in 31^st District Court and given a $2,000 personal bond. The Probable Cause Conference is scheduled for November 9, 2023, at 8:30 a.m., before Judge Alexis Krot. Please request a photograph of the defendant from the Wayne County Sheriff's Office.
