Waterford Man Charged in Fatal Car Crash
Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged Michael Blakeman, 35 (DOB: 03/08/1983), of Waterford, in connection with fatal car crash the killed his wife, Angelina Melnikova-Blakeman, 32. Ms. Melnikova-Blakeman, of Russia, had recently married the defendant at the time of her death.
On February 22, 2019 at approximately 5:34 p.m., Detroit police responded to a car crash that occurred on Wyoming Avenue near Plymouth Road in Detroit. Upon arrival, officers discovered a vehicle that had been traveling southbound on Wyoming. Medics responded to the scene and transported Ms. Melnikova-Blakeman a local hospital where she was pronounced dead. The defendant was taken to another local hospital for treatment.
It is alleged that the defendant was driving his vehicle at a high rate of speed when he lost control, left the roadway and struck utility poles before crashing into the rear of another vehicle, also traveling southbound on Wyoming. It is further alleged that the defendant was driving while under the influence of drugs.
Blakeman has been charged with Second Degree Murder, Operating While Intoxicated Causing Death and Reckless Driving Causing Death.* He was arraigned this afternoon at 1:00 p.m. in 36th District Court before Magistrate Dawn White. The Probable Cause
Conference is scheduled for March 8, 2019 at 8:30 a.m.; the Preliminary Examination is scheduled for March 15, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. Both hearings are before Judge Ronald Giles in 36th District Court. The defendant received a $1 million cash/surety bond. Please request a photograph from the Detroit Police Department.

Westland Man Charged in Fatal Car Crash
Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged John Henry Johnson, III, 25 (DOB: 03/13/1993), of Westland, in connection of the fatal car crash that killed his passenger, Donald Dwayne Adams, 24. Adams's is city of residence was not reported.
On December 6, 2018 at approximately 3:07 p.m., Detroit police were dispatched to the area of Puritan Avenue and Wisconsin Street in Detroit in response to a single vehicle accident. Upon arrival, the officers found a vehicle crashed into the west side of a building located in the 8600 block of Puritan. It is alleged that the defendant was traveling eastbound on Puritan Avenue when he drove off the roadway and crashed into the building. It is further alleged that the defendant fled the scene on foot, and left the front seat passenger behind. Medics arrived on the scene and transported the victim to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased from his injuries.
Johnson has been charged with Reckless Driving Causing Death and Failure to Stop at the Scene of an Accident When at Fault, Resulting in Death.*
Johnson was arraigned this afternoon before 36th District Court Magistrate Dawn M. White. The Probable Cause Conference is scheduled for March 7, 2019 at 8:30 a.m.; the Preliminary Examination is scheduled for March 14, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. Both hearings are before Judge Ronald Giles in 36th District Court. Johnson received a $150,000 cash/surety bond.

Detroit Man Charged in Kidnapping of Five-Year-Old Girl
Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged Fernando San-Miguel, 17, (DOB: 09/06/2001) of Detroit, in connection with the kidnapping of a five-year-old girl from her Detroit backyard.
On February 24, 2019 at approximately 3:20 p.m., the five-year-old girl and her 11-year-old sister were in their backyard at their home located in the 1100 block of Wheelock in Detroit. When the 11-year-old girl went to retrieve a ball from the front yard, it is alleged that the defendant ran past her into the yard. The 11-year-old girl heard the defendant call to her five-year-old sister, it is alleged that he picked her up and placed her over a back fence into a neighbor's yard and then he jumped over the fence. When the 11-year-old sister yelled at him, the defendant then placed the five-year-old back into her yard before leaving the scene on foot. Investigation by the Detroit Police Department led to the arrest of the defendant.
San-Miguel has been charged with one count of Kidnapping - Child Enticement.*
San-Miguel was arraigned this afternoon before 36th District Court Magistrate Millicent Sherman. The Probable Cause Conference is scheduled for March 12, 2019 at 8:30 a.m.; the Preliminary Examination is scheduled for March 19, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. Both hearings are before Judge Michael Wagner in 36th District Court. The defendant received a $500,000 cash/surety bond. Please request a photograph of the defendant from the Detroit Police Department.
