Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged Zijad Talic, 41 (DOB: 07/14/1978), of Hamtramck, in connection with threatening Judge Alexis Krot of 31st District Court.

On July 1, 2020 it is alleged that Talic while in Hamtramck, made death threats regarding Judge Krot via text to a third party. The Hamtramck Police Department received the information about the threats and conducted an investigation leading to Talic. On July 2, 2020 it is alleged that when officers went to arrest the defendant, he attempted to elude them by not stopping his car and by committing traffic violations. He was eventually arrested on the same day. When he stopped the car. The facts and evidence in the case will be presented on the record in court.


Talic has been charged with one count each of Threat of Terrorism, Obstruction of Justice, Fleeing and Eluding Third Degree and Malicious Use of a Telecommunication Device.* Judge Krot has recused herself from hearing Defendant Talic's case.


Talic was given a $150,000 cash bond and a probable cause conference date of July 20, 2020. Please request a photograph of the defendant from the Hamtramck Police Department after the arraignment.
