Executive Warren C. Evans Statement On GM's Detroit-Hamtramck Assembly Plant

General Motors' decision to continue some operations at the Detroit-Hamtramck Assembly plant is good news for Wayne County and the workers being retained. I understand that GM must make difficult decisions to remain competitive as the automotive industry is transformed by the mobility revolution. However, today's announcement, along with their $20 million investment in Romulus, demonstrates that GM is willing to balance plans for the future with a continued commitment to their workers and Wayne County.
